Extension activities in the neighbourhood community in terms of impact and sensitising students to social issues and holistic development during the last five years
ACBCS always strive to sensitize students for social causes and changes by providing them platform to involve in the social issues through various activities and programs. Various flagship programs like NSS, and Skill development program, SDP, Mentorship, industrial visit, intercollegiate competitions, industry interface and various seminars and workshops on skill development etc is strictly followed.
We are also running NSS Program which again injects the best social awareness and ongoing social issues and their consequence. Recently the NSS Program conducted on NSS Campaigning at: Golashi village, Gangapur, Nasik with 50 students. Where the students arranged Special campaigns are organised generally on various developmental issues of national importance. The themes of the Special Camping Programmers have been 'Youth against Famine', 'Youth against Dirt and Disease', 'Youth for Rural Reconstruction', 'Youth for Eco-Development' and 'Youth for Mass Literacy', 'Youth for National Integration & Social Harmony'. The recent theme of Special Camp was 'Youth for Sustainable Development with special focus on Watershed Management and Wasteland Development.
Next event under NSS was Cash less transaction seminar which motivates the students towards cashless financial transaction. The ease of conducting financial transactions is probably the biggest motivator to go digital. You will no longer need to carry wads of cash, plastic cards, or even queue up for ATM withdrawals.
Another event under NSS was Road Safety Program was taken. It is now widely accepted that serious health losses in road traffic crashes are largely preventable and predictable – a human-made problem open to rational analysis and effective road safety management seminar can help to reduce the likelihood of serious or fatal crashes occurring and to minimize injury severity in the event of a crash.
ACBCS conducts Industrial visits to all class students. Some of the examples of the industrial and educational visit are visit of SYBBA Students at IIM Ahmadabad & Industrial Visit to Amul India Ltd. Anand for again boost up the skill development and holistic development of the students. Educational visit provides students the upcoming trends & opportunities for students from their career perspective. IIMA has been consistently ranked as the premier management school in the country by several national agencies. IIMA programmes are also ranked highly in several international rankings. In 2008, IIMA became the first management school in the country to be awarded EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development).
Event Green India is conducted and organized by ACBCS to promote greening of our Nation. All the students and staff come together and plant tree and indoor plants. On their birthdays students and teachers donate plant to college. In this way college has planted thousands of trees in the Nasik.
